Music - Instrumental Ensembles

There are numerous ensembles in the College including two Concert Bands and two Big Bands, two String Orchestras, a Piano Trio and a number of String Quartets.
The two College Orchestras aim to provide appropriate musical challenges depending on the ability of the pupils.
The Junior Orchestra plays a wide repertoire of fun pieces. There is an emphasis on involvement, listening and playing together.
The Senior School Orchestra plays demanding concert works from the standard concert repertoire. |

Recent repertoire includes Beethoven Symphony No 3 in Eb 'Eroica', 1st movement; Shostakovich Piano Concerto No 2, Vaughan Williams 'Folk Song Suite'. You can hear their performance of the the 'Eroica' here:-
