A Level - 100% pass rate |
| Sixth Form pupils at the College have secured a record 42% A Grades at A Level with 68% A or B and 84% A, B or C. The pass rate was 100%. Jennifer Cole from Bishop’s Stortford, Nicholas Featherstone from Belgium and Juliet Raine from Bishop’s Stortford all secured at least four A grades at A level and 14 other pupils gained at least three A levels at the top grade: |

Headmaster, John Trotman, commented ‘these pupils richly deserve their success and it is splendid to see them achieving such excellent university placements as a result. This whole year group has been a pleasure to work with and it has been good to see their fine achievements in music, drama, sport and many other extra-curricular activities, too. They are living proof that it is possible to pursue a fully rounded education, without any compromise in academic quality.’ |

GCSE - 96% A* to C grades |

| Students in this year’s GCSE examinations secured an impressive 24% at the top ‘Starred A’ grade. The combined starred A and A figure was 47%. The Headmaster, John Trotman, expressed his delight at the success achieved by these hard-working and highly motivated pupils. Particular performances of note were recorded by Emma Dabbs, with 12 A*, Helen Trantum, with 11 A* and 1 A, both from Bishop's Stortford, Ravin Thambapillai, from Bishop’s Stortford and Richard Whiteaway, from Sawbridgeworth, both with 10 A*. |

Vikram Visana, from Saffron Walden, scored 9 A* and 1 A and Joe Price from Bishop’s Stortford also scored 9A* and 1 A. Emily Hatchett, from Bishop’s Stortford and a very accomplished musician, scored 8 A* and 2 A. Eleanor Maitland, from Bishop’s Stortford, scored 7 A* and 4 A and Alex Kerr, from Much Hadham, scored 7 A* and 3 A. Tonica Hunter, from North London, scored 5 A* and 5 A and Emily Hampton, from Bishop’s Stortford, also scored 5 A* and 5 A. Robert Leadbetter, from Buntingford, scored 4 A* and 6 A and Daniel Underwood, from Standon, also scored 4 A* and 6 A. Mr Trotman said that all these pupils will be recipients of the new tie introduced at the school to mark the achievement of those scoring 10 or more GCSEs at A* or A grade. ‘As is always the case’, Mr Troman, said, ‘we are also delighted with the marks of a large number of other students who achieved their own particular milestones with very commendable grades.’ |
