Development Bulletin Board

No sooner than one development project is nearing completion, another begins, and so it should be if we are to ensure that we continue to provide the very best educational experience to our pupils:

  • The impressive new Pre-Prep building was opened in September with its six classrooms, dedicated IT suite, library, music room and assembly hall.

  • Builders are working in earnest  transforming the old swimming pool site into the Ferguson Lecture Theatre which will also be available to the local community for hire.

  • Two new ICT laboratories and a third Junior School science laboratory opened this term.
  • An Interactive Science Centre will open this year, housing a giant Newton’s cradle, a tardis (yes, a tardis), magical mirrors, optical illusions and a host of other hands-on displays. Designed to intrigue and engage, the Centre will add further evidence to our firm belief here at Bishop's Stortford College that fun and learning can, and do, go together!
  • Looking beyond next year, plans are at the drawing stage for a major new Art, Theatre and Music Centre and sites will be surveyed for a second astro pitch.
