Dyson Education Foundation

This term the Design department has been benefiting from the loan of a product analysis resource supplied courtesy of the Dyson Education Foundation. A flight box containing a DC08 with 8 cleaning heads and various attachments was delivered to the College at the start of the term completely free of charge. The box also contains a kit of special tools and information packs. Any school can apply for one of these resources by visiting www.dyson.co.uk/jdfoundation. The box is then delivered for a three week period.

Students in all years in the Senior School have had an opportunity to develop their product analysis skills and knowledge of materials and process by taking part in this activity. It has given many a better understanding of how innovative products are put together and intelligently designed to solve problems. This has been a great opportunity for our pupils to take advantage of the generosity of the Dyson Foundation and its continuing commitment to design education.
