U18 Netball District Champions - 4th time!

The U18 District Tournament was played today at St Mary's School. This year the weather was kind to us and it proved to be a very pleasant afternoon for both the players and our very keen and loyal supporters. The girls were very anxious to retain the title we had won for the last three years and in the early matches the A team certainly made their presence felt winning their section convincingly, Newport 15 -1, The Bishop's Stortford High School 21 - 1 and Leventhorpe 9 - 6. Our B team played some of the finest netball I have seen them play all season and were runners up in their section. Their results were: Herts & Essex 7 - 5, Birchwood 14 - 1, they lost to St Mary's 5 - 11 and beat  Freman College 12 - 2.

This meant that our A team met our B team in the semi final where the A team won 15 - 5. In the final they met  Leventhorpe who they had already beaten in the first round, however it was an excellent match and our girls played some truly inspirational netball to win 11-5. Retaining the trophy was a superb result. Well done to all the girls who represented the College, you were a delight to watch!
