Pupil sets new swimming record

College pupil, Tom Green, became the U13 50m Backstroke national champion on Sunday 3rd July at the finals of the IAPS Swimming Championships for prep schools in the UK. The thirteen year old from Beldams Lane, Bishop’s Stortford set a new record of 30.81seconds compared to the previous record of 31.29seconds. 

Two other pupils from the Junior School also represented the school in the finals of the national competition. Alex Francey, from Old Harlow, came 5th in the U13 25m Butterfly with a time of 15.08 seconds and Rory MacGregor, of Hatfield Heath, achieved a time of 16.91 seconds in the U10 25m Freestyle coming 13th out of a field of 16.
